Fabio: "i love between worlds..one of the tunes of the year for
me ... this is a tune I'm absolutely feelin" (Airplay on BBC by Fabio &
Grooverider)
High Contrast loves "Between Two Worlds" and choosed it for
his "Watch The Ride" mix (Harmless HURTCD075)
Something rather strange is going on in the city. Kids get back into the house
and hide behind closed curtains. A lonely car passes through the city centre,
driving fast like the driver's life depends on it. The birds have stopped singing
their songs - carefully listening to the whispering wind. You can smell there's
something in the air, but all you can see is a big shadow lurking over the city.
If it just wouldn't be so damn hot. The earth seems to tremble with every bead
of sweat dropping on the ground.
Torn Between Two Worlds, faced with revolution in heart, mind and soul. Cought
between one and another, the heart misses one and longs for the other. Is there
no way reconciling both? Letting go - the time to revolt is now.
DOA - September 2007
Sometimes, you have to search for quality DnB. Sometimes, you have to realize
that some of the sleekest tracks are coming from spots you might not think of
on your normal DnB hunt. You might even have to go to Germany. Simon V's ''Heat
Surge'' has already been featured on a Knowledge Mag mix CD from Syncopix this
past July, and is not available in both vinyl and digital formats. The initial
buildup in ''Heat Surge'' intensifies, as if someone is pouring gasoline on
a small bonfire. A bevy of keys and a thumping kick steer this small fire into
a 4 alarm blaze. Telmo A steps up and takes it older school with ''Between Two
Worlds'', dropping a crazy amount of vintage-sounding Amens and vibes through
this energetic cut. On the digital version of this Santorin release, we get
two bonus cuts: Telmo A''s ''All By Myself'', which takes his obvious love for
Amens into a more modern sound, turning his focus into a more aggressively somber
mode. Simon V then wraps things up with ''Across The Universe'', a journey across
the cosmos atop a spaceship with some crazy harp melodies. For those looking
for something a bit different to throw into their mix. (khal)
Dennoch feines Release
mit viel Seele. 4,5 von 5 (bleed)
